The Stone Restorer was recently engaged to refurbish limestone feature walls at the Energex head office Newfarm, Brisbane.
This wall had previously been treated by various contractors using an array of topical and impregnating sealers, which left the final finish in a poor and unsightly condition.
Our process using wet diamond abrasive honing removed the offending coatings and left an improved honed finish, which was then sealed with a premium quality impregnating sealer.
The Stone Restorer is proud to have been part of a team in the recent 429 room refurbishment of the Sofitel Brisbane Central completed in early 2013.
Sofitel’s high standard of excellence ensured their desire for marble that looks its best for a discerning clientele.
We were consequently recruited to restore the existing original marble in the hotel suites, which in each case consisted of a vanity top, shower walls and floor.
The process involved cleaning of the marble and grout joints, then honing the marble to remove wear patterns, scratches, etch marks and dull surfaces. It was then diamond polished back to its original, brand new shiny appearance.
This recently completed luxury high-rise residential property has demanded a new level of finishes in all areas. With the requirement of the developer to deliver a first rate product, The Stone Restorer was engaged to oversee and advise on the most suitable finish to the limestone flooring present throughout the sub penthouses and penthouse.
The consultation process involved architects, builders and management personnel working with us, and the installers to present a premium product to the client. The Stone Restorer then scrutinized the finished product to ascertain whether the demands of the developer had been met.
As a result of this scrutiny, the honed limestone floors delivered to the client were free of blemishes and provided the best possible surface available with this product
