Stone Restoration and Polishing

Grinding, Honing, Cleaning and Polishing all types of stone surfaces such as Marble, Travertine, Limestone, Terrazzo, Granite, Basalt and Sandstone are all part of The Stone Restorers services. Heavy lippage as a result of poorly and unevenly laid stone tiles or stock removal, crack and chip repair, scratch and stain removal and colour enhancing are just part of my services offered.

My restoration process is commonly known as abrasive diamond grinding and honing, which gives the stone improved clarity and reflectivity than other methods being used today. I do not vitrify or provide crystallization as a refurbishment method for marble. A stone floor that has been restored properly will also retain its look longer than when other time saving and inferior methods are used. The Stone Restorers preferred method also means that floors will only need repolishing every 5 to 7 years (depending on individual wear patterns) compared to every 2 or so years (as with some other methods).

Sealing Your Natural Stone

Many (but not all) natural stones need to be sealed to protect them from staining. I use some of the most technically advanced sealers available today. Stains can be substantially inhibited by protecting your investment with a protective sealant. Impregnating sealers are most suitable for marble, travertine, limestone, granite, basalt, sandstone and terrazzo.

Stone Finishes

Not only do I offer a full range of cleaning, protection and restoration services, I am also able to produce any decorative finish desired by a client. Examples include taking a polished finish and honing it (leaving a reduced, satin shine) or vice versa and antiquing – creating a worn finish to replicate age old stone.

My commitment to you

Because anything worth doing is worth doing right I will never quote low and cut corners — the result would be poor workmanship and an unhappy client. My honest quotes will be based on what serves you best resulting in professional, high quality work and service, and a completely satisfied client. When I complete a job, the stone not only reflects on your image; it reflects my standards and work ethic.
